There are a few ways that individuals can volunteer at JHOC which includes serving meals to our guests and assisting during the day with life skills, workshops and mentoring.
JHOC could use clothing, socks, coats, hats and hygiene products which include toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, conditioner, razors, shaving cream, and deodorant.
Joseph’s House provides emergency shelter from 8p-8a, in addition to a day program from 8a – 1p. The services provided include: food, access to laundry and shower facilities, telephone & computer access, and referrals to social service providers.
The mission of Joseph’s House is to holistically and individually engage people experiencing homelessness in gaining stability and control of their lives.

We accept individuals and groups of volunteers. Volunteers play a significant role in the mission of Joseph’s House.
We provide age-appropriate tasks, depending on the age of the volunteers interested in contributing to the mission of Joseph’s House.
We are grateful for one-time volunteers or volunteers interested in a recurring opportunity.
No special experience or skills needed. Although, if a volunteer would like to share a special skill (art, music, gardening, cooking, etc.), we’d love to have them volunteer at Joseph’s House.
We provide a tour of Joseph’s House, and an overview of our services prior to them volunteering.
Interested volunteers can contact Kevin Moran at km@jhoc.org to express your interest in volunteering; and we’ll schedule you based on your availability.
