SSH/TANF contracts We provide homeless prevention, and homelessness services with utility bills, back rent, security deposits, case management. Homeless Prevention & Rapid Rehousing (HPRP2) The household must be homeless or at a very high risk of becoming homeless. A Person will be considered homeless if he/she is; 1. sleeping in an emergency shelter; 2. sleeping in a place not meant for human habitation, such as cars, parks, abandoned buildings, street/sidewalks; 3. graduating from , or timing out of a transitional housing program; or 4. a victim of domestic violence. The following are indications that a household is at very high risk of becoming homeless: 1. Faces eviction within 2 weeks from a private dwelling (including housing by family or friends); 2. Households with children temporarily residing in unsuitable housing not intended for permanent residences, such as living with family and friends or living in motels because the household cannot afford a permanent residence. 3. Residence in housing that has been condemned by housing officials and no longer meant for human habitation; 4. Has suffered a sudden and significant loss of income; Categories’ of assistance: 0 Rental Assistance – This is a one-time fee, per household for assisting eligible program participants with the following services: 1. Security deposits: up to 1 1/2 months of rent 2. Rental Assistance: up to 12 months 3. Rental up to 3 months 4. Utility Deposits: for electric, oil and gas 5. Utility Payments: up to 2 months for electric, oil, and gas Moving Cost Assistance _ This is a one-time fee. per household for assisting eligible program participant with the following services: 1. Assisting program participants with locating and hiring a moving /truck company that has reasonable costs. 2. Assisting program participants with locating and securing short-term storage for a maximum of three months, or until the program participant is housed, whichever is shorter. Income Guideline – HPRP2 – must be 30% of the area’s median income (AMI). SSH/TANF – 250% of Federal Poverty Guidelines.
