What services do you provide to the homeless or to those at risk of homelessness?

We provide services to people at risk of homelessness, aged 60+. Help includes emergency food bags, and shut in shopping. We also have housing services to help people locate affordable housing, and the Shared Housing Program.

What population do you serve?

Low income person and households in which the head of household is aged 60+.

Please describe any opportunities you have for volunteers to assist your mission.

We need folks to deliver food, we need people who are able to shop for a person every two weeks. We need people who can do office work to help at our site in Audubon.

Is there an age restriction for volunteers?

No, except minors should be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Is this a one time or recurring opportunity?

Are there any special experience or skills needed?

There is a great variety of needs. Computer skills are appreciated.

Will training be provided?

yes.

How far in advance should someone reach out to sign up?

Two weeks or more.

Some activities are repeating, others may be only needed once.

What type of in-kind donations would help you fulfill your mission?

Money helps the food shelf. Also food drives to bring in needed items.

Winter.
