What services do you provide to the homeless or to those at risk of homelessness?

Removal of barriers to attend Pr/K-12 grades in our school district and/or NJ displaced from our school district. Uniform Vouchers, transportation, toiletries, coats, etc., referrals to various agencies.

What population do you serve?

Homeless, DCP&P cases, JJC exit, Unaccompanied Youth, CMO placed students, Court Ordered out of District placements.

Please describe any opportunities you have for volunteers to assist your mission.

Assistance with phone calls, paperwork to process cases, school visits with supplies, needs assessment, etc.

Is there an age restriction for volunteers?

While in schools, background checks; anyone working in district needs to be board approved.

Is this a one time or recurring opportunity?

Are there any special experience or skills needed?

The want to help those less fortunate and attention to details for discussion with parents. Ties to communities resources would be very beneficial.

1 Qtr before for the vetting process.

What type of in-kind donations would help you fulfill your mission?

Book bags with supplies, toiletries, uniform vouchers, gift cards where school shoes are sold.

Summer.

Are there any other needs you have that you would like to share with potential volunteers or donors?

The needs are on a continuous basis because the population is so transient.
